Meet Nora Gee
This is my nana, Nora Gee. She was born in 1929 in Canton, China and she married my grandfather who was enlisted in the U.S. Navy. It took years for my nana to get to the United States and when she arrived, she had two young children in tow. She was in a foreign land and could not speak, read, or write English. While my grandfather was building his company and reputation as a photographer, my grandmother became a stay at home mom to five children. After their marriage failed, Nana persevered through much adversity in order to support her family. She helped all of her children with cars, college, and first homes, all on a waitress salary. She still lives in the same home she raised her family in and lives a comfortable, content life. She is known by many for her homemade egg rolls that are the best in this world. She continues to give her children and grandchildren and great-grandchildren unconditional love and support. I chose to name my boutique after her to honor her for the beautiful person she is. I love you, Nana!
